BiTEK Feed Science was established in 1990 after the sale of Evergrow agrochemicals to Sentrachem which excluded their non-nutritional feed additives division.

 

Since then the business has continuously developed new products and has grown to be the leading partner in the animal feed industry, pet food and rendering industries.

Bitek’s manufacturing plant and offices are based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Liquid production facilities include a range of stainless steel blending and double jacketed reactor tanks.

 

Powder production facilities include a range of mixer types to accommodate various product specific formulations. Dedicated mixing lines ensure no cross contamination between product groupings. The plant is capable of reacting, cooling, heating, mixing, blending and absorbing.

Bitek is both ISO 9001:2008 and HACCP certified and has successfully been audited by Afri Compliance as an associate member of AFMA. Bitek’s quality management system ensures full traceability on all finished products, and retention samples are kept for the duration of the products’ shelf life. Bitek utilises both its own and SANAS accredited laboratories for in-house quality testing as well as routine testing for clients when necessary.
